Senior Google engineer Matt Cutts was the early “webmaster evangelist” at Google, and has probably done more than anyone to advance communications between the SEO community and search engines. Matt began attending WebmasterWorld conferences years ago, and has always exhibited great patience when surrounded by webmasters looking for tips, spammers seeking secrets, and, of course, those wanting to know why their site isn’t in Google. Now he’s launched the Matt Cutts blog, kicking it off with an amusing answer to a reinclusion request.
Don’t expect to see Google’s darkest secrets revealed, but undoubtedly Matt will occasionally clarify issues of disagreement among webmasters, and squelch the occasional rumor or bogus belief. Best of all, I’m sure Matt will bring his seemingly unfailing sense of humor to his blog posts – expect some entries that are both informative and fun.
